The very first documentary I made. This documents the life of the late great Alan Wass.
A unique artist who's infamous friendship with Peter Doherty at the height of Doherty's
nihilistic media frenzied fame that pretty much swallowed chewed up and spat out
anyone that was in or around it.
It's fair to say that this cast a very dark shadow over Alan's musical career and all of Alan's
talent was ignored in favour of sleazy tabloid stories full of half truths and outright lies.
So come and view the truth and make your own mind up.

This release has been thwarted by a plethora of reasons and problems as nothing in Peters life was ever easy. No one collected enemies faster than Peter Wolfe as he set about doing his own thing in his own unique way. He never coveted fame in fact quite the opposite as he hid and purposely destroyed any that came his way.
Never one to shy away from a fight be that musical or personal what you see is what you get and a whole lot more. This story has it all. The only time Wolfe has ever allowed his story to be told so no more rumour's just facts.

Dogs shot to the front of the indie scene in 2004 with their debut Single 'London Bridge'.
They were soon snapped up by Island Records and followed this up with a critically acclaimed debut album 'Turn Against This Land' which spawned 3 Top 40 Singles, but then something happened and it all fell apart and nobody knew why?

Perhaps one the most innovative artist I've ever featured on The Smart Way. Ed is probably best known for his work in the Ska community but there is so much more to this guy. Singer, Songwriter, Recording Artist, Engineer, Producer and Multi Instrumentalist that isnt afraid to explore every musical avenue his brain takes him to and there are plenty. Ska, Two Tone, Punk, Reggae, Folk, Blues, the list is almost endless. With over 20 years in the music industry he has recorded with some of the biggest names in the Ska and Reggae world with an absolute arsenal of studio recordings under his belt. A very humble man a very local fellow Essex man. I was amazed he agreed to share some of his very precious time away from his quite frankly manic schedule, so come and get to know the man that is Ed Rome.
